Each year, The RAM gets involved with a handful of local and national organizations to benefit the causes they serve. With the help of our guests, we are able to support these causes by donating and spreading the word about the great work they do. With each organization, $0.50 from every sale of a selected pint is donated to their cause. Here’s what we were up to in 2022:
November-December 2022
Amount raised: $14,000, including $5,000 from our friends at Tito’s Handmade Vodka
Child’s Play provides games, books, and toys for over 185 children’s hospitals across the world!
March-April 2022
Amount raised: $10,000
No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending hunger and poverty.
May-June 2022
Amount Raised: $7,500
Operation Homefront is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive — not simply struggle to get by — in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.
July-September 2022
Amount raised: $12,000
All-time: Over $100k raised for ALS research
We’ve been partnering with our friends at Ales For ALS every summer since 2014 to brew our IPA 4 ALS! Ales For ALS, a charity started by Yakima, WA hop farmers Cheryl Hanses and Mike Smith was inspired by the ALS diagnosis of Cheryl’s brother. Cheryl and Mike then teamed up with their friends in the brewing business to raise money for ALS research and treatment efforts. Cheryl and her daughter came up with the phrase ‘Ales for ALS,’ trademarked it, and transformed it from a small pilot project into the worldwide effort it is today!

This Winter and Spring, we had the pleasure of partnering with Team No Kid Hungry to raise money for their great cause. During that time, $1 of every pint of Big Red’s IPA sold was donated to Team No Kid Hungry. With your help, we were able to raise a total of $10,191!
No child should go hungry in America. But in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, 1 in 6 kids could face hunger. No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive. This is a problem we know how to solve. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending hunger and poverty.
